Worship & Study
Joyous, musical, participatory services — and an open Torah on Saturday morning. Everyone is welcome, members and visitors alike. There is no ticket and no reservation for a regular Shabbat service.
Shabbat
- Erev Shabbat Service Every Friday, 7:30pm In the sanctuary. Joyous, musical, and participatory, with a reading from our sacred Torah scroll. We use Mishkan T’filah and project the prayers so no one has to hunt for the page.
- Tot Shabbat First Friday, 6:00pm A short, hands-on service for families with babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, followed by pizza dinner in the social hall.
- Birthday & Anniversary Shabbat Second Friday, 7:30pm Special blessings for everyone celebrating a birthday or anniversary that month.
- Good News Shabbat Fourth Friday, 7:30pm Come share your good news, your accomplishments, and your nachas with the congregation.
- Torah Study with Rabbi Luna Every Saturday, 9:00am Read and discuss the weekly parsha. No materials and no prior Torah or Hebrew knowledge required — just curiosity.
Schedules change. Services occasionally move for holidays, B’nai Mitzvah, or special events. Check the calendar or call the office at (239) 433-0018 before you drive out.
Coming for the first time?
What to wear. Most people dress business casual. You will not be out of place either way.
Where to sit. Anywhere. If you would like someone to sit with, tell the greeter at the door and we will introduce you.
Following along. Prayers are projected in Hebrew, transliteration, and English. You do not need to read Hebrew.
Hearing. The sanctuary has a T-coil hearing loop. Switch your hearing aid to the T setting, or ask for a receiver.
After the service. Stay for the oneg — coffee, sweets, and conversation. That is where you actually meet people.
Watch Services Online
If you are homebound, traveling, or up north for the summer, you can still be with us. Erev Shabbat services are streamed, and several of our study groups meet on Zoom year round.

Friday evening services stream live and remain available to watch afterward. The link is posted with the weekly email and on the calendar.
Zoom Study Groups
Torah Study, Coffee and Chat, Current Events, Book Club, the Francophone and Hispanophone groups, and the Jewish 12-Step Recovery Group all meet online.
Snowbirds & Members Away
Membership travels with you. Stay connected through the livestream and online classes while you are out of state, and we will see you when you are back.
Festivals & Holidays
The Jewish year turns whether or not the weather changes. We mark all of it — some of it in the sanctuary, some of it in the social hall with a lot of food.
Fall
Selichot, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot in the congregational sukkah, Simchat Torah and the unrolling of the scroll.
Winter
Chanukah candle lighting and latkes, Tu BiSh’vat seder, and the Purim carnival — costumes strongly encouraged, at any age.
Spring
A congregational Passover seder, Yom HaShoah remembrance, Yom HaAtzma’ut and Israelfest, and Shavuot study.
All Year
Community Shabbat dinners, Havdalah movie nights, choir rehearsals, and onegs sponsored by members marking their own occasions.
