Guest Tickets
All High Holy Day tickets are complimentary, for members and guests alike. Member tickets are mailed during the first week of August.
If you are visiting family in Fort Myers, wintering here, or not currently affiliated with a congregation, reserve your complimentary guest tickets in advance so we can plan seating.
Children & Families
Long services are hard on small children, so we hold services built for them:
- Tot Rosh Hashanah — Saturday, September 12 at 10:00am, for our youngest families.
- Junior Congregation — Saturday, September 12 and Monday, September 21 at 10:00am, for Pre-K through 3rd grade.
Registration for children’s events goes through the office so we know how many to plan for.
Book of Remembrance
Each year we publish a Book of Remembrance for Yizkor, listing the names of loved ones remembered by our congregational families.
Submissions are due well before Rosh Hashanah so the book can be printed in time. Call the office to add a name.
High Holy Day Appeal
Your contribution enables us to continue to strengthen our congregation and the Jewish people. Dues do not cover everything — the appeal funds what no one is billed for.
If it has been a long time
Some people come to the High Holy Days once a year and feel they should apologize for it. Please do not. This is exactly what these days are for.
You do not need to read Hebrew — prayers are projected in Hebrew, transliteration, and English. You do not need to know when to stand; follow the person next to you, or stay seated. You do not need to be a member to reserve a seat.
Practical notes
Parking fills quickly on Rosh Hashanah and Kol Nidre. Come early, and volunteers will direct you.
Hearing. The sanctuary has a T-Coil Hearing Loop System. Switch your hearing aid to the T setting, or ask an usher for a receiver.
Dress. Most people dress up for these days, but come as you are able.
