Reform Jewish Community in Fort Myers

There Is a Place for You

Worship. Learn. Belong.

Whether you are a longtime member, new to the area, or searching for a Jewish community, there is a place for you at Temple Beth El. Established in 1954 by twenty-two families, we are the oldest Jewish congregation in Southwest Florida and the largest synagogue in Lee County. We are a member of the Union for Reform Judaism, committed to the principles of Reform Judaism and to the highest standards of Jewish worship, education, and celebration.

We are a welcoming Jewish haven and an extended family of the spirit, with particular sensitivity to the needs of interfaith families. We believe that we are all created in the image of God and that each life is sacred. Our Erev Shabbat services are joyous, musical, and participatory, and everyone is welcome — there is no ticket and no reservation. Simply come.
